Position Summary

Maintain all sanitation standards established by the campus.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities (essential functions)

  • Pick up debris, empty trash cans, remove spills in a prompt manner, dust racks, doors, lights, etc.
  • Sweep and mop slots, clean restrooms, break-rooms and offices in assigned areas.
  • Clean sanitation equipment, which includes sanitation boxes and mops
  • Record all damaged product on a damage control sheet.
  • Sweep and scrub floors, as well as outside areas to help ensure the safety, proper sanitation and efficiency of the distribution center
  • Maintain equipment daily; topping off fluids, cleaning out brushes and washing equipment
  • Record and report all damaged product properly
  • Follow good sanitation practices; keep work area clean and free of debris
  • Report equipment and pallet jack problems to maintenance
  • Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting their work group or distribution center that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs
  • Ensure compliance with company standards in the areas of accuracy, safety and productivity.
  •   Understanding of Food Safety handling techniques, practices and expectations for the work environment.

  • Reach, stoop, bend and lift up to and including 60 lbs.
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e. cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered                                                         
  • industrial trucks)
  • Meet production standards set by the company
  • Read and understand written and numeric product identifiers
  • Must be able to work needed schedule to perform assigned duties
  • Proficient use of computer for data entry and research purposes
  • Highly motivated, self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple task in a fast-paced environment

Education

  • High School Education
  • Certified on a powered industrial equipment where applicable

Experience

(Indicate the minimum years of applicable and relevant work experience that would be necessary to effectively perform in the position)

  • Familiarity/experience in a distribution environment
