Position Description
LEAD QUALITY ASSURANCE PROFESSIONAL
I. POSITION SUMMARY:
Quality Assurance Professional position - At a minimum, qualified candidates must have an A&P license, 5+ years of experience in corporate and/or general aviation (Dash -8 experience highly preferred), and at least 1 year of inspection or maintenance supervisor experience (IA highly preferred, but not required.) International Standard Organization (ISO) and or Aerospace (AS) experience is also a plus and preferred. The candidate will have excellent work ethics and a team player. Must possess intermediate level computer skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel & Outlook) as well as willingness to learn other programs as required. The Quality Assurance Professional position works with works closely with onsite management and is answerable to the Vice President for Operations.
II. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(a) Quality Assurance Professional - Will be responsible to Ensure that aircraft records, work order reports and forms are completed properly prior to releasing product for return to service.
(b) Assist in determining that no defective, unserviceable or unairworthy parts are installed in any component or article released by the repair station.
(c) Execute and maintain the list of Service Difficulty Reports by properly completing and submitting the report within the required timeframe.
(d) Complete all required FAA forms and submit them to the FAA as required or keep on file.
(e) Perform the final acceptance of all incoming material, new parts, suppliers and airworthiness of articles on which work has been performed offsite by contract.
(f) Perform vendor audits as necessary.
(g) Perform airworthiness inspections on articles of which work has been performed offsite.
(h) Perform preliminary, hidden damage, in-progress and final inspections on all articles processed onsite.
(i) Oversee the proper tagging and identification of all parts and components to ensure that rejected or non-repairable parts are properly marked, quarantined and rendered unusable.
(j) Assist the Quality Assurance Lead in aircraft conformity inspections as necessary.
(k) Proper and timely completion of assigned tasks in accordance with the policies and procedures set forth as required.
(l) Properly complete all paperwork related to assigned tasks.
(m)Maintain adequate number and quality of tools necessary to perform assigned tasks.
(n) Ensure proper Required Inspection Item procedures are adhered to and to notify the Quality Assurance Lead or the Manager of Aircraft Maintenance upon completion.
(o) To understand and follow procedures out of the aircraft manufacture maintenance manuals.
(p) Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned by the Quality Assurance Lead or higher authority.
