Duties and Responsibilities:
The Office of Human Resources at AUM seeks candidates for Human Resource Generalist. This position reports to the director and is responsible for university recruitment, onboarding and employee engagement.
The HR Business Partner is a key member of the Human Resources Management Team and will drive all Human Resources initiatives to help achieve our business objectives. Assists in the design, planning and implementation of policies and programs covering several or all of the following: Recruiting, Benefits, Training and Development, Diversity, Employee & Labor Relations and Wage and Salary Administration.

Successful candidate must possess:
Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with proven ability to demonstrate data interpretation that maps back to business terms and outcomes. Ability to exhibit excellent customer service, integrity, and confidentiality when working with both internal and external customers. Outstanding listening and influencing skills and the ability to cultivate trust and credibility among various constituencies. Ability to develop and maintain highly effective relationships both internally and externally. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment. Effective communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to address small and large groups. Exceptional problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail; keen ability to multi-task and prioritize work deliverables. Knowledge of quantitative analysis techniques essential, experience in compensation analyses a plus.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2 years or more of related experience in one or more of the following areas payroll, benefits administration, training, on-boarding, policy implementation and interpretation, and employment law compliance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preference will be given to candidates with a combination of related talent acquisition, compensation, and employee retention experience.
Preferred Qualifications
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential
Knowledge of Banner HR
Fluency in social media, particularly in researching and recruiting candidates through channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram

Human Resource Generalist
Talent Acquisition
- Prepare new hire paperwork.
- Remain abreast of talent acquisition trends and talent pools through attendance at job fairs, conferences, and targeted events to increase AUM's presence as an employer of choice.
- Work with foreign nationals to execute international employment processes.
- Plan, coordinate and/or conduct new employee orientation and assist with the on-boarding process.
- Conduct market research and prepare pay studies to help establish pay practices and pay bands.
- Collaborate with Director to execute desk audits and respond to pay parity/equity inquiries and reclassification requests.
- Review and approve offer letters in alignment with the appropriate compensation banding.
- Conducts analysis of compensation programs and advises on program changes.
- Develops, implements, and evaluates training and communication programs designed to increase overall understanding, awareness, and knowledge of compensation related subjects.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct employee engagement and satisfaction surveys, analyze responses and prepare reports for management.
- Assist with the managing the University student employment and HR intern programs.
- Provide necessary training and development on the selection, compensation, and classification process.
- Continuously monitor Human Resources policies, programs, and practices to keep management informed of new developments and regulations.
- Research legal and financial requirements in regard to talent acquisition and compensation.
- Undertake special projects as assigned.
