Duties and Responsibilities:
Tutors provide academic support to AUM's students in their major area. They provide guidance, demonstrate with examples, and model good student behavior. Tutors also function as academic coaches by encouraging students and helping them learn how to access resources independently. Tutors may work in remote environments, in-person environments, or both. Tutors are responsible for sanitizing their in-person work stations, scheduling appointments, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Tutors must be strong communicators who are patient and compassionate. Desired qualifications also include strong time management and organizational skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicant must be a currently-enrolled graduate or undergraduate student at AUM, with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
