Successful candidates may be hired to teach between one and three sections and we offer both online and in-person modalities. Course development support and pedagogical mentoring will be offered.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in animation, illustration, game design, visual effects, or a related field from an accredited institution OR two years of documented industry experience in animation, illustration, game design, visual effects, or a related field

Authorization to work in the US

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

One year of teaching experience at the college level

The School of Art has over forty full-time faculty and offers state-of-the-art facilities serving more than 600 undergraduate majors. Programs at the BA, BS, and BFA levels include art education, art history, ceramics, drawing, glass, graphic arts management, graphic design, intermedia, metals, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and visual arts/animation. School of Art students enjoy world-class facilities, with over 73,000 square feet of classroom, gallery, and studio space in the Art and Journalism Building, Applied Technology Building, and the Marilyn K. Glick Center for Glass. Students and faculty work closely with David Owsley Museum of Art on campus, among the finest university art collections in the nation. Ball State University is accredited by the National Association for Schools of Art and Design.
