Landfill Operator

JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

The Barbour County Commission is now accepting applications for one part-time position as a certified Landfill Operator. All applicants must possess a valid driver license and be insurable. To meet the certification requirements, operators must take the Alabama Landfill Operator Certification Training Course, taught by ADEM, as well as obtain an additional 7 or 12 hours of training, depending on the type of landfill. In addition, all Certified Operators are required to take the ADEM class once every three years. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
