Position Overview

Provides leadership and oversight for Registration and Records-related functions (curriculum management, course and program registration, data management, student records maintenance, etc.) within adult, online, and continuing education; graduate education; non-credit programs; and emerging alternative credentials in support of student enrollment, retention, and completion.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Lead for Digital Credentials and LRE Pathways within the Division of Professional Studies to support back-end digital credentials administration, including support for non-credit offerings, credit-bearing microcredentials and learning employment records (LERS).
  • Lead Registration and Records-related functions within non-credit programs, including oversight for the forthcoming non-credit student information system (SIS).
  • Lead Registration and Records-related function in scaling and sustaining current and emerging non-traditional models, programs, and service areas inside and outside of the Butler + portfolio, including programs designed to increase access to postsecondary education.
  • Provide Registration and Records-related support in scaling and sustaining credit for prior learning (CPL) and prior learning assessment (PLA) procedures across the University.
  • Represent Butler's extended access programs on the Program Operations Team.
  • Serve in an ex-officio capacity on the Division of Professional Studies curriculum committee.
  • Serve in an ex-officio capacity on the Graduate Council, supporting the formalization of policies and procedures related to graduate programs and graduate students.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
  • Five years' experience in postsecondary administration or federal, state, or local regulatory administration, is required. Experience in registration and records/registrar's office is strongly preferred.
  • At least two years' experience working to support non-traditional programs/learners is required.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in student information system (SIS) administration is required, proficiency in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions is preferred. Specific SIS proficiencies include program setup and maintenance; curriculum management; course scheduling; registration setup/maintenance; and reporting.
  • Basic proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems administration is required, proficiency in Slate is preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) is required, proficiency in Canvas is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) compliance and ensuring data privacy and integrity.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to work across departments and units in support of shared objectives.
  • Considerable ability and willingness to work independently and in a team environment, including physical or virtual environments, with a passion for supporting and serving as an advocate of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Considerable relationship management skills, including diplomatically addressing questions, or concerns and successfully resolving challenges and generating solutions.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to document processes and procedures clearly for future use.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in administering non-credit postsecondary programs.
  • Experience in administering credit for prior learning (CPL) and/or prior learning assessment (PLA).
  • Experience or certifications related to compliance and regulatory components of online learning and distance education.
  • Experience in working collaboratively and proactively in higher education with change management methods and tools.
