Clerk I – Income Tax Examination
The City of Heath Civil Service Commission will conduct a Clerk I- Income Tax exam on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019 at the Heath Fire Station I, 193 Heath Rd. Heath, Ohio at 6:30 p.m.
Applications to take the exam may be obtained at the Heath Municipal Building, 1287 Hebron Rd. Heath, Ohio 43056 Mon – Fri 8:30 am – 4:30 pm or downloaded from our website at www.heathohio.gov.
Return the application to 1287 Hebron Rd. Heath, Ohio 43056 or email to humanresources@heathohio.gov no later than Monday, October 14, 2019 at 4:30 pm. You must take the exam to be considered for the position.
Clerk I – Income Tax is responsible for clerical and secretarial duties, typing, filing and general work involved in the operation of the Income Tax Bureau. Typical tasks include assisting taxpayers in preparation of forms; open and processing mail – including tax payments and resident questionnaire forms, prepares bank deposits, answers telephone and waits window, etc.
Qualifications for this position must be a high school graduate or equivalent, should have one year of tax, accounting or business experience, be computer and office machine literate, have good communication skills, be able to deal with the public in a calm and professional manner, be able to work with others and be willing to learn more in depth auditing and accounting procedures.
Salary range $33,043.37 - $36,081.70.
