The purpose of this class is to oversee the success of new web projects critical to the ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement of the CCBC website. This includes managing the production schedule, updating business processes and documenting vendor service requirements. The Web Project Manager will manage the College's new web initiatives, including, systems integrations and other strategies to advance the top strategic priorities.
Responsibilities focus on the design and development of the College's primary, public facing website (www.ccbcmd.edu) and other marketing and recruitment focused sites. The person in this position will design, develop, build, maintain, and modify websites using Cascade CMS.
Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale.

Bachelor's Degree required, degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, UX/UI design or related field and project management certification preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of project management experience with a focus on web design and development, mobile apps or innovative technologies required. Experience with web-based Content Management Systems (CMS), Cascade CMS preferred. Experience with content management processes and web development projects in a large organization required, higher education preferred. Proven ability to handle all phases of assigned projects from concept through final delivery required. Prior supervisory experience preferred.

- 1. Prioritizes projects for graphic designers, content writers and programmers as they relate to advancing www.ccbcmd.edu.
- Creates and manages web style guides to ensure consistent implementation of branding, behavior of visual elements and brand conformity.
- Develops key performance indicators to assess website goals and CCBC digital strategies.
- Tests new projects for responsiveness, web accessibility in accordance with WGAC 2.1.
- Oversees content audits to review the site ensuring it is current, relevant and conforms to CCBC's Web Content Standards.
- Demonstrates leadership across a team of web professionals to ensure quality, consistency and timely delivery of all web related content.
- Manages sitewide and long-term, high profile transformative projects. Coordinates projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation.
- Coordinates internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments.
- Analyzes project progress and, when necessary, adapts scope, timelines, and costs to ensure the project team adheres to requirements.
- Serves as the primary contact for CMS updates, and third party integrations.
- Uses analytical tools for social listening, ad tracking, websites, and app statistics (e.g., Google Analytics and Siteimprove) to discover new business opportunities, including creating new customer interaction methods for lead generation.
- Provides presentations and reports to keep key partners and leadership well-informed of the website's progress and impact.
- Serves on various committees to right-size projects and share website updates
- Oversees sitewide projects including (but not limited to) catalog/program updates, CMS upgrades, and significant navigation/architecture changes.
- Coordinates ongoing content workflows within the larger Marketing and Communications department to ensure that key assets are available to the content team.
