The purpose of this class is to perform facilitation and instruction for job seekers within Job Network, functional program-serving students with life and employment challenges within Continuing Education at the college.

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of full time experience working in career development, teaching workshops, or facilitating courses Or Associate's degree and four (4) years of full time experience working in career development, teaching workshops, or facilitating courses. Experience working with individuals who have barriers to employment (for example, childcare challenges, transportation limitations, and/or recipient of benefits through the Department of Social Services).Preferred experience facilitating virtual classes and/or workshops.
Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale.

  1. Remain knowledgeable about the College, its structure, culture, policies, and practices.
  2. Serve as point of contact for internal and external organizations.
  3. Prepare and analyze reports, as requested.
  4. Serve as an advocate for the College and its students, as required.
  5. Serve as liaison between College departments, faculty and/or staff, as required.

  1. Facilitate in person and virtual workshops related to employment and life management, includes lesson planning, instruction and proctoring assessments.
  2. Provide employment and life skills preparation classes, with specific focus on success in the workplace. Additional topics to include workplace computer skills training and basic academic skills preparation in reading, writing, and employment related math.
  3. Maintain accurate attendance records and document progress and outcomes in compliance with CCBC, state, federal, Baltimore Department of Social Services and Baltimore County Court system guidelines.
  4. Support the team by sharing information and ideas on best ways to assist and empower students to obtain and retain employment.
  5. Provide case management to students when needed.
