is seeking a Information Technology Specialist

(Sanford office)

Under general supervision of the Director of Under general direction of the Information Technology Manager, assist with computer software and hardware installations, support and training; assist with network administration duties on CEC's local area and wide area networks. Assist with necessary research on software and hardware specifications and pricing and makes recommendations on present and future computer and electronic needs. Performs other related duties as requested.

Applicants wishing to apply should meet the following minimum requirements:
Must have high school education or its equivalent. Must have a valid state driver's license. Must have an associate degree in computer technology or information systems and one to three years' work experience in electronic, computer repair, OR appropriate combination of education and experience. Must be able to assists with in-house software and hardware computer support; assist with installation of computers, servers, printers, and necessary linkages to CEC's computer network. Must be able to set up hardware and load software programs and configuring equipment; provide resolutions of software and hardware issues as necessary. Must be able to communicate well enough with employees, handle difficult conversations or discussions in person and over the telephone. Must possess verbal communications skills to assist employees, answer questions, and obtain necessary information to effectively handle computer software/hardware, troubleshooting, and other related problems. Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays in emergency situations, or as required. Must be willing to participate in special training programs/classes as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Candidate must successfully pass Drug Screen & Background check.
