JOB SUMMARY

The account executive is responsible for sales growth within a defined territory. Account executives are accountable for maintaining positive business relationships to ensuring achievement of sales targets and individual sales KPIs across our portfolio of brands. Each account executive is responsible for creating territory level plans to hit goals and working with the regional marketing team to implement promotions, sampling, and in-store support.

CORE JOB DUTIES

  • Responsible for growing sales within the sales territory.
  • Identify potential customers, initiate, and manage prospects through the sales pipeline, and close opportunities.
  • Responsible for the achievement of monthly revenue & profit goals, including setting individual customer targets and plans.
  • Responsible for managing customer relationships throughout the sales process, from ordering to credit memos, and documenting into company CRM.
  • Deliver on KPI’s such as increased distribution, re-order rates, and successful new product launches.
  • Provide insight regarding outcomes of programs and promotions.
  • Work closely with national accounts and marketing partners to drive portfolio growth.
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to audience needs, using excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and persuasive skills.
  • Monitor competition and market trends by gathering information on pricing, products, market presence, and other key factors.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's Degree; or relevant work experience.
  • 3-5+ years proven sales experience in cannabis, alcohol or pharmaceutical sales is preferred.
  • This position requires the candidate to be based in Ohio.
  • Must have valid driver's license with clean driving record and own transportation.
  • Ability to travel throughout assigned territory.
  • Highly motivated and performance driven with good time management and organizational skills.
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
  • Must maintain a high level of integrity, personal motivation, and sense of urgency.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficiency with MS Office in a windows environment and familiar with sales tracking and reporting software (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)
