EyePoint is seeking an experienced Program Manager, reporting to the SVP, Program Leadership, who will work collaboratively on the assigned projects and strategic initiatives to manage and integrate diverse drug development activities spanning all phases of clinical development. You will empower team members, integrate perspectives, enable flexibility, streamline operations, and accelerate programs. This is a great opportunity for an individual that is motivated and detailed oriented with exceptional communication skills and has a track record of proven success managing cross-functional development programs in biotech.

This position is based out of our Watertown, MA office and offers a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the SVP, Program Leadership, the Associate Director of Program Management contributes to innovation by providing support to cross-functional teams, monitoring the full range of program activities, and integrating program plans. Responsibilities include overall accountability for internal alignment, including coordination of activities, tracking and management of milestones and deliverables.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Partnering closely with Program Leadership, Chief Medical Officer, and other team members to ensure alignment of all operational aspects of the cross-functional teams
  • Scheduling and running team meetings including developing agendas, publishing meeting minutes and decision logs, and tracking action items to completion
  • Managing and integrating cross-functional deliverables (e.g., timelines, budgets, resource allocation, risk/mitigation plans, development scenarios, development plans)
  • Ensuring cross-functional alignment and organizational support by facilitating internal and external stakeholder management
  • Supporting operational excellence by developing tools (e.g., dashboards and other content) to drive communication and collaboration within teams and across the organization
  • Supporting key portfolio activities such as long-range planning and budgeting by partnering with Finance/Legal and other functions on plans and resourcing demands
  • Gathering ongoing feedback across functional teams to identify areas for improvement and partnering with functional leaders to implement improvements

Qualifications

Primary skills and knowledge required include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Strong organizational skills in cross-functional project management
  • Ability to influence and integrate teams and manage competing priorities, budgets, and timelines to deliver on corporate and program goals
  • Strong leadership, team building, and real-time problem solving skills
  • Thorough understanding of clinical development within a fast-moving biotech organization
  • Strong networking and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Level of Education Required:

Bachelor's degree

Number of Years of Experience in the Function and in the Industry:

Minimum of 7 years in biotech/pharma with 3+ years of Project/Program Management

    • Demonstrated program management experience leading cross-functional teams in biotech
    • Skilled in Microsoft Project

Highly Desirable Experience

      • Phase III experience
      • Hands-on-experience managing contracts
      • Clinical program management in a clinical CRO and/or clinical operations in biotech
      • Skilled in Smartsheet
      • Ophthalmology
      • PMP certification (or comparable certification)
