DESCRIPTION: 

Gannett’s B2B Marketing team is looking for Content Manage to join our growing team. Reporting into the Director of Marketing, this team member will support our ambitious vision of driving growth and retention of our b2b business. 

The Content manager is responsible for creating marketing copy for all mediums and platforms, working closely with the marketing and creative teams, and using data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of writing. 

 RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Create compelling and effective copy for marketing materials, such as website content, emails, case studies, white papers, and social media posts 
  • Work closely with the marketing and creative teams to understand the company’s brand and messaging, and create copy that aligns with the brand 
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as product and sales, to create cohesive marketing materials 
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in marketing copywriting 
  • Conduct market and customer research to understand the target audience and create relevant and engaging copy 
  • Edit and proofread marketing materials to ensure accuracy and consistency 
  • Use data and analytics to measure and report on the effectiveness of writing and the success of marketing materials, using metrics such as website traffic, email opens, and conversions 
  • Identify and resolve challenges and issues within the marketing copywriting process 
  • Provide training and support to team members on marketing copywriting best practices and tools 
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the company’s marketing copywriting process 

 QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing copywriting or a related field 
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with a portfolio of writing samples 
  • Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools, such as Google Analytics 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with a team 
  • Knowledge of the company’s target audience and goals 
  • Ability to conduct market and customer research to create relevant and engaging copy 
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills 
  • Time management and organizational skills 
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change 
  • A desire to learn and grow in the marketing copywriting field 
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field

The annualized base salary for this role will range between $43,000and $81,000.  Variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, location, and union representation, if applicable
