Great Southern Wood markets its pressure-treated pine for decks, fences, and landscaping projects under the YellaWood brand; other brands include N-Durz, FlameFreez, and RainWood. The company produces and distributes appearance-grade boards, dimensional lumber, heavy timbers, posts, fence panels, wood-alternative decking systems, and other specialty items. It operates about a dozen treating plants mostly in the Southeast. Products are then shipped to lumber yards and building supply stores. Great Southern also has its own trucking company, Greenbrush Logistics. The company was founded in 1970 by president and CEO Jimmy Rane.
