120 Temporary Full Time Forestry Worker
Work sites: Begin; St James City, Lee County, FL 33956 at $16.28/hour. Provided daily transport to/from the worksite. Continue in the States of AL, FL, GA. 10/6/19-5/1/20.
Position duties: Preparation of trees to be planted, pruning of the roots, separation of the root systems for easy seedling retrieval, carrying seedlings in specialized carrying bags on the worker's
person, extensive walking over rough terrain in extreme weather conditions, bending over & inserting a dibble bar or hoedad in the ground, proper placement of seedlings in hole in ground & proper packing of seedlings so as to ensure survivability. This is done on a consistent & continuous basis throughout the workday & other related Forestry Worker activities per SOC/OES 45-4011 (onetonline.org).
Must be 18 due to travel. Must show proof of legal authority to work in U.S. Drug/Alcohol/Tobacco free work zone. Must walk substantially (up to 15 miles/day), also stoop, bend while carrying a pack (up to 50lbs) thru rough terrain (non-trail). No minimum education requirement. OJT. All applicants must be willing, qualified to perform work described & available for the entire period specified. $14.24/hour up to poss $18.36/hour OT $21.36/hour up to poss $27.54/hour, Wage may vary.
Based on Experience &/or location. H&W benefits may apply. Piece rate may apply. Cash advance may apply at employer discretion. Poss daily/weekly hours: 8AM-5PM. 40+ to include lunch break Monday-Friday. Poss weekend/holiday work. Outdoors, exposed to weather; must be capable of doing physically strenuous labor for long hours, occasionally in extreme heat or cold. Variable weather conditions apply; hours may fluctuate (+/-), poss downtime &/or OT. Employer will comply with all applicable fed, state & local laws pertaining to OT hours.
Will provide/pay cost of worker return transport, subsistence from worksite to place from which worker departed to work for employer if worker completes period of employment or dismissed from employment before end of work period above. Transport/subsistence will be reimbursed (by check-in 1st work week) for cost from place from which worker has come to work for employer, whether in U.S. or abroad, to place of employment. Guaranteed offered work hours at least 3/4s of workdays each 12/week period of total employment period. Use/maintain of employer-provided tools/equipment/supplies at no cost/deposit. Optional housing available at no cost.
