INTRODUCTION

LifeStar Living is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) for LifeStar Management, LLC. This is an exciting time to join a unique and fast-paced professional services organization under a family of companies that is focused on building a best-in-class portfolio of senior living communities for Convivial Life, Inc, a Florida not-for-profit organization. Convivial has three properties located in Florida and is actively evaluating other expansion and affiliation opportunities.

POSITION AT-A-GLANCE

The effective leader will work at our central campus, Jacaranda Trace (Venice, FL), as homebase to lead a high-performing team consisting of dedicated and proven professionals who also support other Convivial properties. The COO will be responsible in bringing sound operation's expertise to improve our growing structure and ensure consistency across all our communities. She/He will have a proven track record in building and leading high-performing teams and designing systems that produce accountability and predictable outcomes in quality, resident and employee satisfaction, and achievement of our financial goals. The leader is expected to improve our effectiveness of all hospitality and healthcare programs and provide assurances to the Board regarding successful policies and practices that will comply with all laws and regulations. The COO will be an excellent communicator who can exhibit and foster enthusiasm and passion for adherence to our mission. Actions will be greater than words as the COO is expected to be a hands-on leader who prioritizes integrity, trust, quality, teamwork, and customer service.

REPORTING TO

The COO will be a newly created position and will report to LifeStar's founding CEO, Joel Anderson.

SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION

The COO will be responsible for the following:

* Oversight of the executive team responsible to lead and direct daily operational activities at Jacaranda Trace and other Convivial properties;

* Assurance of an organizational culture throughout all entities that foster our values of Love, Life, and Laughter among residents, family members, business partners, and employees;

* Planning, organization, and maintenance of organizational systems that maintain consistency, collaboration, and improvement in all resident services for each of the communities;

* Assurance that all communities operate according to the organization's purpose, standards, policies, and budgets;

* Effective management of our census mix, sales, and occupancy that achieve revenue and cash goals for each community;

* Leadership and ongoing development of the appointed executive director or president of each community;

* Adherence to all necessary standards that achieve compliance with local, state, and Federal laws and regulations for each of the communities;

* Collaboration with the executive team leaders to manage labor productivity and payroll costs;

* Assurance that expenses fall within budgeted targets and that systems of accountability are in place to encourage and empower leaders to exercise good judgment in their areas;

* Provision of knowledge that assists in new project planning and campus repositioning;

* Advancement of hospitality and healthcare programs that create best practices and competitive advantage, resulting in higher resident and staff satisfaction;

* Assist in due diligence and onboarding of new properties and affiliations; and

* Serving as a liaison for each community to help resolve resident, family, and staff concerns.

LifeStar Management is a privately held organization of LifeStar Living. LifeStar was formed in 2020 by senior living veteran, Joel Anderson and iconic NBA super agent, David Falk. LifeStar has established 4 vertically integrated companies overall, LifeStar Development, construction and development services, LifeStar Creative, full-service marketing agency, and LifeStar Talent, a comprehensive employee services organization, and LifeStar Management, all of which play an instrumental role to propel the success of Convivial and other strategic partners.

ABOUT CONVIVIAL

Convivial Life, Inc., is a Florida not-for-profit corporation governed by an accomplished Board of Trustees. Convivial's mission is to provide quality housing, healthcare, and supportive services to seniors primarily through the development, acquisition and affiliation of senior living communities. Convivial purchased two legacy properties in 2022 and has another project being planned for new development as a Life Plan Community. Below is a brief description of each:

* The Cabana at Jensen Dunes (acquired January 2022). The Cabana is in Jensen Beach, FL and currently has a 126 assisted living and memory support units on approximately 23 acres with 11+ acres of adjacent land for future expansion as a proposed Active Adult Community.

* Jacaranda Trace (acquired in June 2022). Jacaranda Trace is in Venice, FL, where Convivial owns 249 independent living units, 19 assisted living units, 36 enhanced assisted living and memory support units, an 85,000+ SF clubhouse for members, 8 undeveloped villa lots and approximately 2.2-acre parcel for the future expansion as a proposed Life Plan Community.

* Convivial St. Petersburg is in the development phase of becoming a new Life Plan Community. The Project will be located along the coastal waterway in Skyway Marina District with two distinct 9-story buildings offering 170 independent living homes, various indoor and outdoor amenities, and 48 assisted living and memory support units. Skilled nursing care is arranged with an off-site non-profit provider.

Other acquisitions and affiliations are presently being evaluated as part of expanding the mission and strategic direction set by Convivial's Board. We anticipate at least an additional affiliation to occur in 2024. All three existing projects are expected to begin construction for expansion or new development in 2025.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will possess 7+ years of demonstrated knowledge and a track record within a progressive senior living organization where they have 1) built a dynamic team and system for growing the organization, 2) organized and directed a framework for managing properties effectively, 3) established and advanced innovative practices and systems that can track, measure, and improve services and programs, 4) achieved occupancy and financial goals, whether new projects, turnarounds, or affiliations, and 5) created a workplace culture that focuses on teamwork, problem-solving, diversity, excellence, growth, and advancement. The ideal candidate will have the ultimate purpose of creating successful communities and teams that embody and foster our shared values of Love, Life, and Laughter.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

* Bachelor's degree in hospitality, healthcare, marketing, finance or business administration, with master's degree preferred;

* 7+ years of senior living executive experience, primarily within Life Plan Communities;

* Florida CORE certified in Assisted Living or Licensed Nursing Home Administrator a plus;

* Relocation to Sarasota, FL, and ability to travel 50% or more of work time;

* Proficient in the use of remote and cloud-based technologies, Microsoft applications.

SALARY, OTHER FINANCIAL INCENTIVES, AND BENEFITS

LifeStar expects to reward this high-caliber leader for their proven results. Base salary will be dependent upon experience. Other generous financial rewards and benefits will be discussed as finalists are determined by the CEO.
