Position Summary:
Monmouth University is seeking applicants for two temporary technicians in the Biology Department, which is part of the School of Science. This lab is engaged with a variety of projects involving wildlife ecology, with emphasis on reptile and amphibian ecology, conservation, and management. The technicians will help organize and execute surveys of nesting Diamond-backed terrapin at Gateway National Recreation Area (Sandy Hook Unit) in Summer 2024.
The position will also provide opportunities for data analyses and stewardship, work with geographic information systems, and to participate in report and manuscript writing. This is a National Parks Service grant funded project.
This is an in-person on campus, non-remote position; with travel to research site.

- Holds a Bachelor’s degree or higher, or currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience with Sampling and Specimen data collection.

- Experience with handling wildlife.
