Primary Therapist
Reports To: Clinical Supervisor
Location: Ozark, Alabama
Summary:
Under the supervision of the Clinical
Supervisor, a Therapist is responsible for working with clients to help identify, examine, and treat mental health and emotional issues. Common duties may include assessing client's needs, creating treatment plans, conducting individual, group and family counseling sessions, monitoring client's progress, implementing case management techniques, preparing treatment reports, and making referrals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
• Identify psychological, emotional or behavioral issues and diagnose disorders.
• Manage caseload and documentation.
• Counsel individuals, groups or families to help them understand problems and develop treatment plans.
• Provide for referrals and community contacts.
Qualifications:
• Master's Degree in Counseling and Psychology or a related field.
• License Preferred but not mandatory (must submit for associate license or schedule to take LMSW test within 90 days of employment).
• Must demonstrate good judgement, have the ability to resolve complex problems, monitor clients, and have excellent decision-making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Competent computer skills.
