Collaborate with the CEO and other stakeholders to define and execute the company’s engineering roadmap, aligning it with the overall business objectives and growth plans. Oversee and manage the engineering team, including hiring, mentoring, and performance evaluations. Encourage professional development and create a positive work environment. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to RentCheck’s tech stack (Node.js, React, React Native, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, PostgreSQL, etc.) and guide the team in adopting best practices and efficient development methodologies. Ensure the successful execution of engineering projects, including setting realistic goals, establishing project timelines, and managing resources effectively. Monitor progress and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions. Work closely with crossfunctional teams, including product management, design, and operations, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of engineering efforts with overall company objectives. Implement and enforce rigorous testing and quality control processes to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure software solutions. Identify opportunities for system optimization, scalability improvements, and performance enhancements to support RentCheck’s growth and user demands. Must have a Bachelor's Degree in computer engineering, computer science or related field and 96-months of experience in computer engineering, software engineering, or similar occupation. Must have experience working with: Node.js, React, React Native, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and PostgreSQL. No travel required; remote work permitted.
