Medical Research Specialists
The Medical Research Specialist for the School of Medicine, Department of Medicine is responsible for conducting highly specialized Molecular Biology Associated miRNA research, which includes, but not limited to the following laboratory functions and techniques: Primer and TaqMan probe design, Real-Time RT-PCR assay for aptamer, microRNA, siRNA and antisense oligonucleotides, MicroRNA target validation in mammalian cell lines, Primers design, vector construction and luciferase assay and MicroRNA, siRNA profiling with Real-Time RT-PCR and Fluorescence in situ hybridization(FISH) for microRNAs. The Medical Research Specialist also conducts research analysis and prepares reports; maintains experimental records; orders and keeps track of laboratory specimens, supplies and inventory; and supervises assigned laboratory personnel.
