The Staff Physician is part of the Tulane University Campus Health team of committed professionals dedicated to supporting and promoting student health and well being as a core institutional value through a multidisciplinary, comprehensive approach. The Staff Physician resides within the Tulane Student Health Center. The individual serving in this role is responsible for: providing clinical services, and referral to specialty care. The Staff Physician is a part of the medical team that provide health care services to the student population at Tulane University. This position will provide medical assessments and exams, health education/literacy, referrals, and health screenings in a variety of clinical settings. The Health Center for Student Care operates clinical services to students through primary care and our sexual and reproductive health clinics. The physician will also provide outpatient procedures such as suture/staple placement and removal, I&D, cryotherapy, fluorescence eye staining, removal of foreign body, and other procedures as certified. This individual will be a part of the Student Health Center provider group and attend regular meetings, participate in peer review projects, grand rounds, and be involved with community engagement activities. As a staff physician within the clinical setting, this person will demonstrate qualities of effective leadership, communication, and professionalism.
