Job Description
The Missouri Water Center (MWC) seeks to recruit a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Program Coordinator. The successful candidate will coordinate large grant proposals and support faculty teams in developing competitive research programs at MWC. The ideal candidate should possess strong coordination and project management skills, as well as technical expertise in water research.
Key Responsibilities include:
MWC Funding coordination and Support
- identify funding opportunities,
- coordinate, assemble, host, support, and facilitate regular work rhythms, schedules, and cycles to write competitive large water-related proposals,
- provide resources to gather and write large-scale multi-institutional collaborative grants led by the University of Missouri,
- assist the Center directors to manage the seed grant program funding for supporting faculty teams via matched graduate assistantships,
- coordinate Center participations to a carefully selected small number of national water research professional organizations, supply funding to support graduate students and faculty to attend and present,
- develop a knowledge base of faculty expertise related to water,
- establish a targeted national presence, and
- regularly meet with other institutions' water research centers, establish collaborative working relationships with others.
- Assist the directors to manage the MWC programs.
- Assist the directors to prepare program reports.
- Design and deliver outreach programs to engage with public and private stakeholders in Missouri and across the nation.
- Develop brochures and other outreach materials, and coordinate exhibits at conferences and various events.
- Maintain and update the MWC website and social media platforms to showcase MWC activities and engage with communities.
- Collaborate with MWC faculty to prepare proposals, design and implement research, and publish research results.
Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
Preference for M.S. or PhD in relevant field
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $51,876 - $65,000 per year
Grade: GGS-010
