Job Description

Under administrative direction from the Dean of Students or their designee, the Case Manager serves as a resource for students along with emergency support and outreach. This position will respond to significant physical/mental health issues and personal matters to provide consultation, assistance, and appropriate referrals for students in distress. The Case Manager supports the Division of Student Affairs for students in distress; and coordinates efforts to address student success strategies for the CARE Team and the Roo Wellness Team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Meets and provides follow-up with students of concern.
- Assists referred students and families in making use of University and/or community resources including but not limited to healthcare, housing insecurity, food insecurity, and emergency funding.
- Cross function with CARE Team & Roo Wellness. Shared responsibility with two departments.
- Provides support and guidance and follow-up with colleagues who are working with students of concern by assisting and pre-assessing student behaviors as needed.
- Consults regularly with campus partners regarding services, access, and care to maintain strong collaborative relationships.
- Assists in the facilitation of information sharing, as permitted by FERPA, with identified entities including but not limited to campus departments, faculty, staff, parents, families and designated emergency contacts (as appropriate), as well as student issues or campus emergencies.
- Provides administrative support for all reported student cases referred to the Dean of Students Office, overseeing documentation in case management system (Maxient/Canvas) and interventions in a timely manner.
- Serves as a member of the CARE Team
- Assists with maintaining a directory of community resources available to students (live and virtual).
- Assists with presenting evidence-based trainings, presentations and assessment that addresses contemporary concerns in a college population and other educational initiatives for faculty, staff and students that raise awareness and foster collaboration.
- Assists in the development and implementation of student outcomes surveys and other methods of data collection to promote further outreach, education, and campus well-being initiatives.
- Serves as liaison to the Academic Advising Community.

- Ability to prioritize work appropriately and adapt easily to changing priorities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proven oral and written communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in related/ relevant area and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of Higher Education Law (Title IX, Clery, FERPA).
- 1-2 years of additional experience working within the Social Work area in relation to case work management.
- Threat Assessment Knowledge
- Masters in Social Work

Anticipated Hiring Range

- Anticipated Starting Salary: $50,367 annually, commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity.
