Laboratory Research Technician III

The laboratory of Chandan K. Sen, PhD at the McGowan Institute of Regenerative Medicine (affiliated with the Department of Surgery) at the University of Pittsburgh is committed to excellence in research which drives our commitment to seek out and train the best of the next generation of biomedical scientists.

Performs a variety of independent laboratory work and experiments such as determining experimental protocols and preparation of specimens and cultures. Prepares reports of findings subsequent to compilation and analyzation. Oversees specimen inventory. Develops documentation for publication; crafts manuscripts and grant proposals.

Required to undertake a variety of laboratory procedures of technical nature. Will be handling sensitive equipment to analyze samples or substances and conduct tests reporting findings to a laboratory manager.The ideal candidate will have experience in working with hazardous materials (e.g. pathogens or chemicals).

Mostly sedentary. May be required to lift up to 25 lbs.
